Sarah Bird has three decades of experience as a therapist, almost all of which has been spent in the resolution of stress-related problems. English-born, she has been living and practising in Ireland since 2004 and now considers it home.
She has developed a well-served reputation on the international front and has worked on a voluntary basis in some of the most difficult arenas of the world, including post-earthquake Pakistan where she offered on-site training workshops with a number of national and international NGO’s.
In 2008, Sarah was invited to join a pioneering pilot programme team to develop a project for active servicemen and their families who are suffering from the effects of combat-induced Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
The first phase of this project took place at Columbus, Georgia, USA, working with active servicemen, veterans and their families, including First Gulf War and Vietnam War veterans.
She has also been associated with Glencree Peace and Reconciliation Centre in Ireland, working on a range of projects between 2005 and the present.
Sarah is also Regional Coordinator in Ireland of the Association of Complementary Energy Psychology, the worldwide organisation which regulates and promotes the practice of Energy Psychology. |
