Introducing the principles of Nonviolent Communication (NVC)
NVC is a process of communication developed by international peace builder Marshall Rosenberg to enable people to communicate with respect, compassion and honesty. It leads to being heard and understood; communicating clearly without blame or judgement, and choosing actions that are in harmony with each others’ needs and values.
NVC is a learn-able process that will improve relationships at work, at home and in the community. It is used worldwide by people from all walks of life – from boardrooms; in relationships and in political conflicts. Importantly, NVC is effective whether the other person also knows the process or not.
This workshop:
- Presents the core concepts and tools of NVC.
- Provides the information and practice needed to start using the tools
- Uses a supportive, experiential style with real life examples.
The workshop is on Saturday 25th September 2010. The venue is in Oscailt, 8 Pembroke Road, Dublin 4. For location and directions, look at www.oscailt.com.
The time is from 10am to 5 pm. Registration is from 9.30am.
